Pre-orders for the 2025 Edition will open next week!

The 2025 edition will go to press in mid-October.

When you pre-order the printed book, the PDF version will be available to download immediately.

This will be a "RELEASE CANDIDATE," not the final version, and may contain errors such as typos, dead-end hyperlinks, misprints, or wonky graphics. If you find a problem please contact the author at nyctrackbook at gmail dot com to ensure the problem gets fixed before the book goes to press or the final file gets released.

You will be notified when the finalized file is available to download, as well as revisions throughout the year.

HAVE YOU EVER

peered out the front window of a New York City subway train and wondered how all that maze of tracks and switches manage to connect to one and other?

OR HAVE YOU EVER looked at a public subway map and tried to figure out why one line connects to another, but not to a third line close-by?

PERHAPS YOU HAVE WONDERED what those colored light signals tell the train operator, or what that radio jargon means.

IF YOU ANSWERED “YES” TO ANY OF THESE, then you’re interested in Tracks of the New York City Subway!
